For this position, we are looking for a TIG Welder and Fabricator with a high school diploma or equivalent plus two years of experience who can demonstrate proper TIG welding techniques in addition to understanding other fabrication methods.
Candidates must be self-motivated to work independently while also bringing a collaborative spirit to the team. Previous experience in aerospace fabrication would be a plus.
Protective gear will be provided.
Job Description:
Jet Tool specializes in the manufacture of aircraft engine tooling for major aircraft engine manufacturers. We provide quality maintenance tooling for aircraft service centers worldwide, for the repair and overhaul of aircraft turbine engines.
Our machine and fabrication shops can manufacture all types of engine stands, transporters, balancing kits, gage sets, bearing pullers, installation and removal fixtures, and stretch shaft fixtures.
We are looking for a TIG Welder and Fabricator who wants to challenge themselves, grow their skills, be part of an excellent team, and make things that matter. The right candidate will have opportunities to work on interesting projects and be asked to suggest areas for investment as our company grows.
We utilize Miller welding equipment and ProShop ERP. We provide an air-conditioned and clean shop environment.
Responsibilities:
Weld and fabricate custom aerospace tooling products
Coordinate with the shop manager on scheduling and priorities
Qualifications:
Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to take many variables into account when limited standardization exists
Keen ability to read and understand complex blueprints and highly technical aerospace specifications
Welding experience in structural fabrication mainly for the aerospace industry and with a focus on TIG Welding
TIG Welding experience (GTAW)
MIG Welding experience (GMAW)
Stick Welding experience (SMAW)
Heavy gage flux core Welding (FCAW)
Experience working with Stainless Steel, Aluminum & Alloys
Be able to Fabricate from Blue Prints
Good schematic & drawing comprehension
Strong overall fabricating and construction abilities
Strong math skills
2+ years of experience
Certifications a plus
