Education and Experience Level:
Jet Tool is a learning environment. We believe that curiosity and a desire to grow and learn are often more important than the amount of education and experience a candidate may have.
For this position, we are looking for a Manual machinist with 3 years of experience who can set up manually controlled machines (lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, jig borers, jig grinders, and hand tools), calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics, and apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
Candidates must demonstrate a keen ability to read and understand complex blueprints and highly technical aerospace specifications. They also must have experience with measurement and testing equipment, gauge blocks, dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, surface plates, hardness testers, rules, and straightedges. Previous experience in aerospace machining and Journeyman Toolmaker/Machinist would be a plus.
Machinists will also be expected to bring their own tools.

Keen ability to read and understand complex blueprints and highly technical aerospace specifications.
Experience with measurement and testing equipment, gauge blocks, dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, surface plates, hardness testers, rules, and straightedges.
